什麼原因，讓今年以來強勢的新台幣，連滾帶爬摜破32元？是台股不振、是經濟成長趨緩，或許都不敵人民幣驚天一震的隱憂，當人行都得出手救經濟，新台幣走貶的完美風暴儼然成形。出口不振，日本央行奉行「安倍經濟學」，透過日圓貶值，提振日本經濟，這招讓國內許多產業相當羨慕，巴不得「央行總裁換日本人來做」，也能夠透過新台幣貶值，讓出口好些，美化下修不停的台灣經濟。

貶值有沒有用？這是老生常談，希望新台幣貶的人就跟喊價一樣，愈喊愈離譜，再用2008年金融海嘯時，韓元大貶擊潰台灣面板廠為例，所以新台幣應該貶出競爭力，否則就是坐以待斃。但真正的問題在於，當全球的供給不振，加上紅色供應鏈成形，這已經不是貶值就有辦法，死馬當活馬醫，央行也只能演戲。加上從供需角度，當外資把台股當作提款機時，新台幣真的只能「看外資臉色」。之所以讓央行放手的關鍵，恐怕還是人行。大陸雖然是世界工廠，但1997年亞洲金融危機、2008年全球金融海嘯，都屹立不搖，內需夠強，就不必孤注外銷一擲，既然如此，人民幣就找不到非貶不可的理由。這次情況卻不同，過去「一路挺到風暴過去」的人民幣，在人行伸出黑手之後，等於間接告訴外界：「經濟不好、我也要貶值自救了」，老大哥都看壞前景，新台幣又怎能獨強。要把貶值當成作戲也好，也許救出口、也許減輕台股賣壓，但這都不足以改變央行意志，人行無預警出手才是那根稻草。當完美風暴成形，新台幣被迫重回32元體質，尋找物價與經濟發展的平衡點。(中國時報)，
