楊梅區八方園鄉村餐廳是從江夏堂老屋改造而成，客家事務局6日選此舉行「客家老屋調查研究計畫」記者會。（楊明峰攝）
市府客家事務局啟動「客家老屋調查研究計畫」，委請文史工作團隊調查桃市1501間客家老屋，選出300間特色建物後，再做深度訪談，預計今年底前選出其中有保留意願的30間老屋，進一步在其中打造客味特色，為老屋注入新生命。計畫啟動典禮昨於楊梅區八方園鄉村餐廳舉行，陳列桃園市13區客家老屋調查現況，其中楊梅區有數量最多的391間老屋，次序為中壢區則有286間老屋，而原鄉復興區，還有閩南聚落較多的桃園、龜山、八德，仍有客家老屋存在。

市府客家事務局啟動「客家老屋調查研究計畫」，委請文史工作團隊調查桃市1501間客家老屋，選出300間特色建物後，再做深度訪談，預計今年底前選出其中有保留意願的30間老屋，進一步在其中打造客味特色，為老屋注入新生命。計畫啟動典禮昨於楊梅區八方園鄉村餐廳舉行，陳列桃園市13區客家老屋調查現況，其中楊梅區有數量最多的391間老屋，次序為中壢區則有286間老屋，而原鄉復興區，還有閩南聚落較多的桃園、龜山、八德，仍有客家老屋存在。

文史工作團隊表示，桃園市客家老屋各具特色，比如觀音區的莊屋「天水堂」，比鄰林家古厝，又有荷花田等景緻，未來可望能夠串聯，發展觀光特色，另外新屋區的蚵殼港地區屬閩南聚落，仍有客家大屋存在，見證了客閩聚落的發展。文史工作團隊也曾在新屋區老屋中，見到90餘歲的獨居老朽獨守祖傳的客家老屋，這名長輩見到團隊上門時，感慨老屋萬隨著他過世後消失。道盡城鄉發展的拉扯。八方園鄉村餐廳業者黃帥欽，為楊梅江夏堂2房子孫，他說，20餘年前父親見老屋垂垂老矣，將原有的養雞鴨處所，以及豬舍重新修復，打造成咖啡、文創餐廳，成為當地知名景點。這也成為計畫團隊為老屋發展的策略參考之一。(中國時報)，
