大陸國家主席習近平這次訪美之行，據傳他的獨生女兒習明澤，也在隨團成員中，名列隨團翻譯人員，參與對自己父母訪美的形象包裝策畫。由於她使用化名，而且極為低調，以致連中方代表團中，知之亦甚少。海外華文媒體博聞社報導，習近平夫婦從孩子讀中學開始，就是按未來當英文翻譯的目的培養習明澤的，中學就讀浙江外國語學校，大學讀浙江大學外語學院英文翻譯專業，一年後即赴美國哈佛大學留學，直到父親習近平接掌中國後，2014年她才回國工作，但目前不知道她是否屬於外交部正式員工。

彭麗媛英文演說最大功臣 第一千金祕密隨團訪美

大陸國家主席習近平這次訪美之行，據傳他的獨生女兒習明澤，也在隨團成員中，名列隨團翻譯人員，參與對自己父母訪美的形象包裝策畫。由於她使用化名，而且極為低調，以致連中方代表團中，知之亦甚少。海外華文媒體博聞社報導，習近平夫婦從孩子讀中學開始，就是按未來當英文翻譯的目的培養習明澤的，中學就讀浙江外國語學校，大學讀浙江大學外語學院英文翻譯專業，一年後即赴美國哈佛大學留學，直到父親習近平接掌中國後，2014年她才回國工作，但目前不知道她是否屬於外交部正式員工。

報導說，習明澤已不是第一次為父母親外出考察訪問做形象策畫。其中一次被公開的，是今年初習近平帶妻子彭麗媛回他當年插隊的陝西延安梁家河村訪舊，當時習明澤就陪伴在側，且為父母親拍照，但有保鏢為她擋駕，禁止任何人拍她的照片。這次習近平出訪，是否要帶上女兒，習一度頗為躊躇，最後是中辦主任栗戰書拍板做出安排，而且採取高度保密措施，代表團只有少數成員得知習千金跟團。據報導，習明澤這次隨父母訪美比較公開現身的場合，是25日早上白宮南草坪歡迎儀式，她站在中方工作人員和貴賓人群中，而非媒體席或專門揮舞國旗的「群眾演員」隊伍中。且有專職保安人員跟著，免被他人騷擾。報導稱，彭麗媛出席聯合國教科文組織主辦的「教育第一，促進可持續發展」高級別會議，並用英文發表演講，其流利程度和帶著美式口音的發音，背後最大的功臣就是女兒習明澤。(中國時報)，
