醫師提醒,45歲以上的民眾若有膝蓋痠痛等症狀,即是退化性關節炎的徵兆。(陳瑄喻攝)
據統計,60歲以上的族群有8成飽受退化性關節炎所苦,許多人長年忍痛,關節彎曲變形,雙腿勉強行走或只能仰賴輪椅代步,骨科醫師觀察,為了提高生活品質,不少高齡者接受手術的意願明顯增加,但也提醒,個人狀況不同,手術與否應多方考量,包括疼痛指數、自身病史等都是評估指標。郵政醫院院長、台北醫學大學骨科部主治醫師陳健煜指出,以往接受人工關節置換手術的病患以65歲至85歲較常見,但近年來隨著平均壽命拉長,高齡者及家屬接受手術的意願明顯提高,以他個人為例,迄今已為33位90歲以上的病患置換人工關節。

老年醫學-關節退化膝蓋痠痛 減重 拉筋 練肌力可改善

據統計,60歲以上的族群有8成飽受退化性關節炎所苦,許多人長年忍痛,關節彎曲變形,雙腿勉強行走或只能仰賴輪椅代步,骨科醫師觀察,為了提高生活品質,不少高齡者接受手術的意願明顯增加,但也提醒,個人狀況不同,手術與否應多方考量,包括疼痛指數、自身病史等都是評估指標。郵政醫院院長、台北醫學大學骨科部主治醫師陳健煜指出,以往接受人工關節置換手術的病患以65歲至85歲較常見,但近年來隨著平均壽命拉長,高齡者及家屬接受手術的意願明顯提高,以他個人為例,迄今已為33位90歲以上的病患置換人工關節。

陳健煜說,日前收治一名92歲的病患,雙膝疼痛長達6年,雙腳已無法站立,經評估病患的營養、健康情況,決定置換雙邊人工膝關節,不過,病患畢竟年事已高,考量身體負荷等問題,先置換單邊膝關節,復元情況良好,術後兩周已能行走,觀察3個月無其他問題,再置換另一邊的膝關節,目前全民健保有給付膝關節手術。醫師提醒,45歲以上民眾若有膝蓋痠痛等症狀,即是退化性關節炎的徵兆,建議透過減重、改變運動方式、穿護膝等方式改善,一般來說,體重減輕一公斤,膝關節會減少4公斤受力,走路及游泳是最好的運動方式,同時也可透過水療等物理治療強化下肢肌力,補充維他命D、魚油、葡萄糖胺及軟骨素。台北醫學大學附設醫院復健醫學部物理治療師賴庭筠表示,民眾平時可利用洗澡前10分鐘,進行包括前後大腿拉筋、大腿肌力訓練及膝關節訓練,一天最少做兩次,加強膝關節肌肉強度,放鬆緊繃的軟組織,減輕膝關節的壓力。(中國時報),
